There is a glass question asked in YAHOO ANSWERS:
Can we use Laminated Glass for Shower Doors?
We are setting up a small hotel where we have decided to use glass
shower doors for its bathrooms. Initially we were set to use tempered
glass for the doors, but found that tempered glass is not available
locally and has to be shipped from West Malaysia, making it very
expensive. We have been asked to use laminated glass instead, which is
widely available here in East Malaysia. But is laminated glass
strength appropriate for bathroom use?

Here is my comments:
Yes, you can use the laminated glass in shower door. Actually many
people have done this. And there are two types of laminated glass, PVB
laminated glass and EVA laminated glass. I suggest you use the EVA
laminated glass, because EVA laminated glass is better at moisture
resistance.
And We have the special type of CNCGLASS EVA film for laminated glass
that is good at alkalinity environment resistance, and our JADE WHITE
CNC GLASS film is translucent, light can pass through, but people can
not see through (privacy protected), very good at show door
implication.
